Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Program Physician assumes medical responsibility for the Clinics and supervises all the medical services rendered to patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history.
- Examines patient to determine general physical condition.
- Orders and/or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic procedures to provide information on patient’s condition.
- Gathers and organizes medical documents/information as required by policies.
- Analyses reports and findings of tests and examinations.
- Administers or prescribes treatments and drugs to manage chronic conditions.
- Refers patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
- Active participation in the Quality Management Program, Utilization Review, Peer Review, Medical Provider activities, and On-call schedule.
- May be asked to orient new providers, assist them professionally with coverage, call arrangements, referrals, and other clinical issues.
- Able to assess and treat patients in an acute care setting, which includes but is not limited to, acute infectious diseases, minor orthopedic ailments within a Family Physician's scope and minor procedures such as laceration repairs and incision and drainage.
- Performs other related functions as needed.

- Must be licensed in good standing to practice medicine as a physician in the state of California.
- Must have a current and valid DEA registration and may not, at any time, have had an application for registration with the DEA denied, had a DEA registration revoked or surrendered a DEA registration for cause.
- Must be able to provide comprehensive quality patient care and referrals.
- One year of primary care experience preferred.
- Able to work full-time, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Be willing and able to travel to other clinics in South Bay area.
